Deal insights
Lives on Green Compostable Paper Drinking Straws, Gray and White Striped is a Great Deal, offering compostable paper material in a common 7.75 in by 6 mm size at a price that undercuts recent averages. The pack size matches typical consumer counts and the dimensions are standard, while the very low price versus the recent 90-day average is the main value signal.
Here is why
When selecting disposable drinking straws, consider material/compostability, dimensions (length and diameter), pack count, and packaging or hygiene claims. Here is how this product performs:
1.
Material & Environmental (compostable paper; biodegradable; BPA-free) : Material aligns with mid- to mid-range expectations for compostable paper and is clearly positioned above basic polypropylene budget plastics. For the low price here, the compostable paper claim is stronger than typical budget material claims and can justify a price premium in many listings.
2.
Straw Dimensions (7.75 in length; 0.24 in diameter) : Dimensions match the common standard length and diameter seen across price bands and are typical for consumer straws. Length/diameter are not unusual and therefore do not by themselves change the deal assessment.
3.
Pack Size (100 pieces) : A 100-piece pack is the common retail count for this category and is typical for both budget and many mid-range offerings. Given the current price, unit cost is favorable compared with typical retail packs.
4.
Packaging & Hygiene (unlisted) : Benchmark expectations vary: budget packs are often unwrapped while mid-range commonly offers individual wrapping or boxed presentation. The listing lacks hygiene details, so buyers who need individually wrapped straws should double-check the product page.
Deal price at $2.99: sits well below typical budget-level retail packs for disposable straws. It is priced below its recent 90-day average of about $5.52, which makes the current offer notably cheaper than recent listings for similar items.
As a Great Deal this suits buyers who want single-use compostable paper straws for parties or everyday use and who prioritize low cost per straw. Confirm packaging and individual-wrapping or hygiene details on the product page if that matters to you, and consider warranty/return terms for peace of mind.
